Introduction
- Parties And Definitions: Here in the following Conditions and Policies BIG KNOWLEDGE EDUTECH (runs its business under the name “IASment”, GSTIN: 08BEYPM8422D1Z2) is referred to as Firm/We/Us/Our and its users, customers, students, subscribers, website visitors, application users, or any person availing our services are referred to as User/You/Your.
- Scope Of These Terms: These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern (a) the use of our website (including but not limited to www.iasment.com) (“Website”), (b) our applications such as IASment and related software (“Application”), and (c) any products, services, digital or physical materials, subscriptions, or other offerings provided in connection with the Website/Application (“Services”).
- Modes Of Access And Registration: These Terms apply to all modes of registration or usage of our products and Services, including, but not limited to, access via browser, Windows PC application, Android application, iOS application, SD cards, tablets, or any other storage/transmitting devices supported by us.
- Electronic Record And Consent: These Terms constitute an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and applicable rules, and your act of accessing, registering, browsing, or using our Services is deemed as your electronic acceptance of these Terms without requiring a physical signature.
- Binding Nature: Your use/access/browsing of the Website/Application/Services/products, with or without payment or subscription, signifies that you have carefully read, fully understood, and unconditionally agreed to be legally bound by these Terms and by our Privacy and Data Protection policy as may be updated from time to time.
- Non-Acceptance: If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, or our Privacy and Data Protection provisions, you must not use or access the Website, Application, or any of our Services/products.
- Non-Transferable Access: Any access to our Services/products through registration or subscription is strictly non-transferable and is granted only to the specific registered User.
General Usage And Eligibility
- Eligibility To Contract: Only persons who are competent to contract within the meaning of the Indian Contract Act, 1872 are allowed to register or use our Services on their own. Minors, un-discharged insolvents, or otherwise incompetent persons may use our Services only under the consent and supervision of their parents or legal guardians.
- Minor Users: Where a minor uses the Application/Website/Services, it is assumed that the legal guardian or parent has granted full consent to these Terms, and such guardian/parent is deemed responsible for all actions and usage by the minor.
- Accuracy Of Information: You agree that all information provided by you at the time of registration or use (including name, contact details, class, address, payment information, etc.) is true, correct, complete, and updated. You shall keep this information regularly updated.
- Non-Transferable Enrollment: Enrollment in any course/program is strictly personal to the registered User. You cannot transfer your enrollment, rights, or access to any other person, whether for consideration or otherwise.
- Right To Refuse Or Terminate: The Firm may, at its sole discretion, refuse registration, terminate access, suspend services, or discontinue enrollment if any misrepresentation, misuse, violation of Terms, or suspicious activity is detected.
Course Purchase, Access Medium, And Device Restrictions
- Course Purchase Channels: You may purchase our courses or programs from anywhere through any authorized mode, including our Website, Android app, iOS app, or any other official sales channel notified by the Firm.
- Restricted Content Access Medium: Notwithstanding the purchase channel, you expressly acknowledge and agree that course content (videos, tests, notes, PDFs, etc.) can be accessed only through:
- Our Windows PC Application, and
- Our Android application or iOS application, and not directly through the Website in a browser interface (unless and until the Firm specifically enables and announces such web-based content delivery in future).
- No Claim For Web-Based Access: You agree that you shall not claim any deficiency of service merely on the ground that course content is not accessible through a browser-based website and is restricted to specific supported platforms (Windows PC App / Android / iOS).
- Device Compatibility: It is your responsibility to ensure that you possess a compatible Windows PC and/or Android/iOS mobile device meeting the technical specifications required to run the Application and access the purchased course.
Course Delivery, Structure, And Academic Freedom
- Multiple Delivery Formats: Courses may be delivered via recorded lectures, live classes, doubt sessions, test series, PDFs, e-books, practice questions, assignments, digital tools, or other formats as determined by the Firm.
- Academic Discretion: The Firm reserves complete academic freedom to design, modify, rearrange, update, or restructure the syllabus, modules, subject order, test schedule, and teaching methodology at any time.
- Non-Obligation To Follow UPSC Design: Our internal academic structuring may differ from UPSC structure or classification. You cannot demand exact mirroring of UPSC’s topic arrangement or question pattern.
- No Specific Topic Guarantee: While we strive for comprehensive coverage, we do not guarantee inclusion of every micro-topic, case study, or question type that may appear in any examination.
Access Rights, Login Usage, And Account Security
- Personal Access Only: Access to our digital content is given only to the registered User. Sharing of login credentials, screen-sharing, or parallel login for others is strictly prohibited.
- Simultaneous Device Restriction: Unless explicitly permitted, your account shall not be used simultaneously from multiple devices in a manner which appears to be sharing or misuse.
- Monitoring Rights: The Firm may track and monitor logins, device identifiers, IP addresses, and access patterns to detect and prevent unauthorized sharing or misuse.
- Security Responsibility: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login ID and password, logging out after use, and promptly informing the Firm of any suspected unauthorized access.
- Consequences Of Misuse: Any account found involved in password sharing, simultaneous abusive usage, piracy, screen recording distribution, or suspicious access may be suspended or terminated without any refund, at the sole discretion of the Firm.
Intellectual Property Rights And Usage Restrictions
- Ownership Of Content: All software, videos, texts, questions, solutions, notes, designs, strategies, compilations, PDFs, slides, test analysis, logos, graphics, audio, and other materials are exclusive intellectual property of the Firm and/or its licensors.
- No License Granted: Your purchase or access does not grant you any ownership or intellectual property rights in any content. You only receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable license for personal learning.
- Strict Prohibition On Copying: You shall not download (beyond permitted device caching), screen-record, capture, reproduce, photocopy, scan, distribute, share, upload, post, host, mirror, or reproduce any of our content in any form.
- No Commercial Use: You shall not use our materials to teach, coach, tutor, create a course, run a channel, organize batches, or engage in any commercial or non-commercial educational redistribution.
- Legal Action For Infringement: Any violation of intellectual property rights may result in civil and/or criminal proceedings, including claims for damages, injunctions, penalties, and reporting to law enforcement.
Permitted And Prohibited Conduct
- Permitted Use: You may use our Services strictly for your personal academic improvement and exam preparation in accordance with these Terms.
- Prohibited Activities (Illustrative, Not Exhaustive):
- Posting or transmitting any content that is abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, violent, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable.
- Harassing, threatening, or stalking any faculty member, staff, or fellow student.
- Uploading or transmitting viruses, trojans, worms, or any malicious code.
- Attempting to decompile, reverse engineer, or modify our Application or platform.
- Using bots, scrapers, crawlers, deep-links, or automated tools to access or copy content.
- Attempting unauthorized access to servers, databases, or other users’ accounts.
- Misusing interactive features, groups, or communities for spam, advertisements, promotions, or unrelated content.
- Engaging in any activity that disrupts or negatively impacts the performance of our platform or other users’ access.
- Enforcement: The Firm may remove content, suspend accounts, or take legal steps if prohibited conduct is identified.
Academic Disclaimers And Non-Affiliation
- Basis Of Content: All academic material is prepared using the Firm’s own understanding, research, experience, and publicly available data, including past UPSC papers and syllabus descriptions.
- No Guarantee Of Syllabus Completeness: We do not claim that our content covers 100% of the syllabus as interpreted or understood by UPSC or any other examination body.
- No Exam Question Guarantee: There is no guarantee that the questions, concepts, patterns, or logic taught by us will appear in any examination.
- Non-Affiliation With UPSC: The Firm has no link, influence, or access to UPSC’s internal workings, question-setting process, evaluation approach, or administrative decisions.
Performance, Result, And Outcome Disclaimers
- No Promise Of Success: We do not promise, assure, or guarantee any rank, selection, score, cutoff clearance, or performance level in any examination.
- User Effort Dependency: Actual results depend on your personal effort, discipline, background, health, exam environment, and multiple other factors outside our control.
- No Liability For Outcomes: The Firm shall not be liable for any academic setbacks, exam failures, or psychological, emotional, or career consequences arising from exam performance.
Privacy And Data Protection
- Nature Of Service Infrastructure (SaaS Model): Our services and platforms are operated using third-party Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) providers and hosting infrastructure. As a result, while we configure, manage, and use these services, we do not have full physical or technical control over every layer of data storage and transmission.
- Best Efforts, No Absolute Guarantee: We take reasonable and industry-aligned measures to secure user data (such as using reputable SaaS providers, configuring security settings, access controls, and internal policies), but we do not and cannot guarantee absolute security, non-breach, or non-incident of your data, especially where events are beyond our reasonable control or arise from third-party failures.
- Types Of Data Collected: By using our Services, you agree that we may collect and process, including but not limited to, the following data:
- Name, email address, mobile number, and other contact details.
- User ID, enrollment details, and course selections.
- Residential address, residence country, residence state, and other address details.
- Geolocation-related information, where allowed (such as approximate location based on IP, or device-level location if permitted by you).

- Usage Of Data: This data is used for account management, academic communication, platform security, service improvement, analytics, and compliance with legal obligations.
- Third-Party Processors: Certain data may be stored or processed through third-party SaaS tools (such as hosting providers, payment gateways, communication tools, analytics services, etc.). While we choose such providers carefully and set configurations responsibly, we cannot be held liable for security incidents solely attributable to such third parties, provided we have not acted negligently in our selection and configuration.
- Data Sharing: We do not sell your personal data to unrelated third parties. Data may be shared only with:
- Service providers who assist in delivering our services (subject to appropriate safeguards).
- Authorities, regulators, or courts where legally required.

Change Of Control, Sale Of Business, And Effect On Users
- Right To Sell Or Transfer: You expressly acknowledge and agree that the Firm may sell, transfer, assign, or otherwise dispose of the company, any of its business units, assets, platforms, databases, or any portion thereof, including but not limited to shares, intellectual property, or operational control, to any third party, at any time and without prior notice or prior approval from you.
- No User Consent Required: Such sale or transfer does not require your consent. Your continued use of the Services after such change shall be subject to the terms and policies as may be prescribed by the new owner, controller, or majority shareholder.
- Effect On Personal Data: In the event of a sale, transfer, acquisition, or restructuring:
- Your personal data, account information, and course history may be transferred to the new owner or controlling entity as part of business assets.
- How your personal data will thereafter be used, stored, or processed will be subject to the then-prevailing policies and decisions of such new owner or controlling entity.
- The Firm (in its prior ownership form) will not have any further control, say, or responsibility in relation to your data or your purchased products once such transfer takes effect.
- Effect On Purchased Courses: Decision regarding continuity, modification, migration, upgrade, or discontinuation of existing courses, subscriptions, or services after such change of control will be solely at the discretion of the new owner/management/board.
- Current Terms Limited To Present Ownership: You agree that all conditions and policies mentioned in this document are framed for the Firm’s existing structure and ownership only. In case of change of control, the new owner’s terms and policies shall apply from the effective date of such change, and you may be required to review and accept those separately.
Payment, Cancellation, And Refund Policy
- Payment Responsibility: You are responsible for ensuring that payments are made to the correct official payment channels, with all details entered correctly.
- No Refund Policy: As a standard rule, all payments are non-refundable and non-adjustable, irrespective of usage level, dissatisfaction, or change in personal circumstances.
- Duplicate Payments: Refunds will only be considered where a clear case of duplicate payment for the same product is established.
- Exceptional Refunds: In rare, exceptional situations, at exclusive discretion of the Firm, a partial or full refund may be considered after deducting applicable charges. You have no automatic right to such exceptional consideration.
- Cancellation Window For Certain Orders:
- Cancellation requests (where permitted) will be considered only if made within 12 hours of placing the order and before the order has been processed/shipped/activated.
- Orders under special promotional offers, festival offers, or time-bound discounts cannot be cancelled.
- Refund Processing Time: Any approved refund may take 15–21 working days to be processed to the original payment source or as otherwise informed by the Firm.
Shipping And Delivery (For Physical Products, If Any)
- Modes Of Delivery:
- Digital products are delivered online via our Windows PC Application or Android/iOS apps (and related digital access mechanisms).
- Physical products, if any, are shipped via authorized courier partners to the address provided by you.
- Shipping Territory: Physical delivery is generally limited to addresses within India only unless explicitly stated otherwise.
- Address Accuracy: You must provide a complete and correct address at the time of order. Once the order is processed, change of address may not be possible.
- Tampered Package: You must not accept any package that appears tampered with, opened, or damaged. In such case, you should immediately notify us.
- Return Conditions:
- Requests for return of damaged or incorrect products must be raised within 7 days of delivery.
- Products must be returned in delivery-like condition without visible signs of usage.
- Third-Party Hardware: Where any hardware or device is manufactured by a third party, any defect must be taken up with the manufacturer; the Firm is not responsible for manufacturing defects and does not provide any warranty beyond what is provided by the manufacturer.
Account Creation, Access, And External Dependencies
- Registration Requirements: To access most Services, you must create an account and provide mandatory details as requested.
- Confidentiality Obligations: You must keep your password and account details confidential. Any action performed using your account is presumed to be done by you.
- External Dependencies: Access to our Services depends on external factors such as internet service providers, network availability, power supply, and compatibility of your device. The Firm cannot guarantee uninterrupted access and is not liable for disruptions caused by such external factors.

- Best Effort Only: We configure and use these third-party platforms with reasonable care, industry-aligned settings, and contractual protections, but we do not and cannot guarantee absolute data security, continuity of service, or immunity from third-party failures, breaches, malfunctions, or policy changes.
- No Absolute Guarantee: By using our Services, you understand and agree that, while we try our best to protect your data, we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, hacking, data breaches, or leaks will never occur, especially where they arise from SaaS vendors, infrastructure partners, telecom providers, or other external systems outside our full control.
Access Medium, Device Limitation, And Privacy Aspect
- Where You Can Purchase: You may purchase our courses from any official channel (Website, apps, or other authorized interfaces).
- Where You Can Access Content: Irrespective of the purchase source, you expressly acknowledge and agree that course content (such as videos, tests, notes, PDFs, etc.) can be accessed only through:
- Our Windows PC Application, and
- Our Android or iOS mobile applications, and not through the Website directly in browser form (unless the Firm explicitly enables this in future).
- Data And Security Implication: By attempting to access content through unauthorized or unsupported methods (e.g., modified apps, emulators, unofficial clients, or browser hacks), you may expose your data to increased risk. We are not responsible for security or privacy issues arising from such unauthorized methods.
Sharing And Disclosure of Information
- Third-Party Service Providers: We may share your Information with trusted service providers who work on our behalf for:
- Analytics and behavioural insights,
- Notifications and communication delivery,
- Infrastructure, hosting, and data storage,
